Goodbye to the Morejnos

The other week we said goodbye to our good friends, The Morejnos. Andres Morejno works with Mark at Agrinorthwest and they are from Argentina. Andres and his family: Virginia, Pablo, Catalina, and Pedro, lived here in the Tri Cities for nine months and it turned out to be a good experience for them. They will be going to Disney Land for a couple weeks before they go back home! Lucky ducks! We sure do love them and will miss our neighbors!

Memorial Day Weekend In Seattle

Over Memorial Day Weekend, Our family went to Seattle for Rylee's three day soccer tournament. She had one game each day: Saturday-Sunday-Monday but of course she could not play on Sunday. So Sunday our family and The Holle family went on a walk in garden in Seattle. It was beautiful, but the whole time it rained. We were lucky enough to have only one soccer game in the rain. Tanner was the only one that got out of this trip because he had set plans over the weekend. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed being together as a family. Here are some pictures from the trip:

We were so proud of Rylee! Her team played a team that was a year-2 years older than them but Rylee and her teamates were tough and they did great.

The Past Month..

Ok so here is what has been going on the past month. Ashtyn just ended soccer with Three Rivers and her last game of the season was last weekend in Spokane. She loves soccer but may be trying out for a new team next year. On top of soccer, Ashtyn is deciding between school volleyball or school cross country in the fall. She is one busy girl who loves sports. Here are some pictures from her tournament..

On Saturday May 8th, Hailey had her Junior Prom and she went with the boyfriend-Zach. This was their 3rd dance together and they went with Hailey's two good friends and their dates. We found Hailey's dress at a shop in Spokane. She wanted a colored dressed but I talked her into getting the white one because it looked so beautiful on her, especially because I sewed sleeves onto it! ;) My sister Andrea was so awesome to make jewelry to match her cute pink shoes and Zach's mom did a great job of making the flowers!

"Tada!" All by herself!

Just like every dance, Tanner has to pop in and get a picture with the two of them!

I told Hailey to do a little "foot pop" and Zach of course didn't want to feel left out!

I added the pink ribbon to Hailey's dress. She took it off during prom because she didn't like it too much but I thought it was adorable!

Here is the group. They wouldn't behave for my pictures and kept messing around with Kayla's bird. But after dinner they had professional pictures done by a lady in our ward and they turned out awesome! They had such a fun night!

Rylee has gotten to that age where she keeps begging and begging me to take her to get her ears pierced. Her 9th birthday was April 17th and so I promised her for a birthday present, that she could go get them done. But because of the soccer season ending and soccer tryouts for her new team, she was pretty busy. So while Mark and Ashtyn were in Spokane for the tournament, Hailey and I took Rylee to get her ears pierced. Here are some cute pictures from that night.

Rylee would smile for the camera, but she was very nervous about getting her ears pierced. She had to squeeze my hand and the pink stuffed bear the whole time. But she was a brave girl and in the end, her ears "didn't hurt at all."

First Blog Post Ever!

We decided to finally follow the crowd and create a blog of our own! Either Wendy, Hailey, or Ashtyn will update every so often what is going on with our family and post pictures as well. Right now, we just starting to build a new home up in Summit View which we are hoping to finish by September or October. Just a little bit about our family- Mark is still working at Agrinorthwest for the church farms. I am back at school, online at Utah State studying speech pathology. Hailey is 17 and a Junior at Kamiakin. She is doing Running Start at Coluumbia Basin College in Pasco and should have her Associates degree by the time she graduates next year. Tanner is 15 and a sophmore at Kamiakin. He is quite the comedian in our family and we can't believe he will be 16 and dating in July! Ashtyn is 12 and in 6th grade at Desert Hills Middle School. She just finished up her soccer season with Three Rivers and she loves it. Rylee is 9 and in 3rd grade. She still sings around the house and plays soccer as well. Ethan is 6 and in Kindergarten. We just got him a golf set because we are determined to get him a golf scholarship! Hopefully that is something he sticks with :) Ethan and Rylee will be attending the new elementary school next year and we are so excited! More than anything, we are ready for summer and can't wait to move into our new home!
